We will be in Newcastle from 1/1/2020 until 7/1/2020, hence there will be a total of 6 nights !

Proposed Accommodation
1) The Newbridge Hotel
Standard Twin Room with 2 single beds for 6 nights will be RM1251
Good location - Near Monument Metro, city centre etc, all in walking distance !
Price is reasonable
Private bathroom and toilet (main concern!!!)

However

Recently, got one Youtube video revealed that the lift is not functioning well, weird location of toilet paper holder, the room stinks and noisy (due to city centre)
Besides, no kitchen for us to cook (cannot prepare food) but the surrounding has a lot of convenience shops, bar and restaurant !!!

Standard Twin Room Bathroom 

2) Sleeperz Hotel Newcastle
Queen Room with one large double beds for 6 nights will be RM1064
Good location - Near Newcastle Central, city centre etc, all in walking distance !
Price is more reasonable
Private bathroom and toilet (main concern!!!)

However

Reviews mentioned the room stinks and noisy (due to city centre & paper thin wall)
Besides, no kitchen for us to cook (cannot prepare food) but the surrounding has a lot of convenience shops, bar and restaurant !!!


Why I didn't consider AirBnB ?
Only one bathroom is provided but we have kitchen to prepare delicious Malaysia Cuisine (I will in charge of washing the rice, rinsing pasta as well as washing dishes)

How to get to Gateshead Leisure Centre ?
Go North East is your solution !!!
No matter staying in which hotels, we can use 53 Saltwell Park to get there, day pass is GBP5.30
